I am asking the same questions, that many new glider owners have asked. The feeding seems to be the one thing that everyone has different opions on, I don't just have 1 or 2 gliders, and I also speak with many breeders on the subject of feeding, also these people have had sucess rates in the breeding areas, no illness areas etc.. I am trying to find out answers to many of the questions I am asked on a regular basis. Just because I am not a "big breeder" doesn't mean that I too can't spend most of my time researching, talking, asking questions trying to absorb and learn as much as I can. I have not been posting and have questions I would like to take the time I have sometimes instead of answering qustions sometimes also asking them. I work with many, many owners regarding bonding and behaviorial problems, so the answers I give there comes from experience and high sucess rates. The answers I give regarding their diet also comes from expierence and also in the research I have done. So not all my answers are unfounded. More and more is being found out, not only by the "big breeders" but also by the small owners who have lost their gliders due to inadaquet diets, some of these "glider owners" have spent their money on necropsys to find out that the problems could have been prevented by not over supplimenting their diets or suppling a diet that covers their nutritional needs. If I offended you I am sorry, But I myself will no longer doubt myself and what I do know, because someone doesn't think I myself knows anything, because I ask questions. I am not an expert I have always maintained that. That is why I ask and I research, But I will not stop being me, and part of me is trying to find the answers any way I can, I have talked with Carolyn MacPhearson about her diet and calcium defiency, I have also talked with many others. There is a wide vaiety even amoung all the top breeders. Some use Mazori , some use Briskeys, some use leadbeaters, some use zoofare, some use gliderchow, some use catfood, some add suplimentation, some don't, the variety is as different as the gliders themselves. And all of them are sucessful breeders. Some hand tame, some hand feed, some let nature take it's course. But they all have one thing in common. They feed their gliders, they take care of them. What I am asking is being specific to my question. Also I wish to add... This is only my opinion and based solely on my experienced and the experience of others. As far as Ruth is concerned.. My apologies to Ruth.. The original leadbeaters diet was supplied to the net by Stephen Jackson to Ruth Rogers, the original which is located at http://www.skinhorse.net/gliders/syd_diet.html which she also modified to "her modified version" which is located at http://www.skinhorse.net/gliders/mydiet.html.. which is the one that many people have modied for their own use according to the taste that their pets prefer. She has done a wonderful job with this diet it has become one of the most popular used diets as with briskeys, and a few others. I would rather stay on the questions at hand, I will not defend myself to anyone else..regarding this matter.. AND THIS IS JUST MY OPINION
