Well, I don't know what Austin you are refering to, but the one where I live does indeed have a 6th Street. In fact 6th Street is famous for being a part district. The streets are lined with clubs and bars for more than 4 city blocks. It is considered the Live Music Capitol of Texas. Being that The University of Texas is nearby, it is quite the hangout for the College scene. Anyway, there truly is a 6th Street in Austin. As a matter of fact, you should come down here and visit us here....I'm sure you would really enjou it.

: Ok, ok, you almost had me. I believed the whole story, hook line and sinker, but you messed up big time with one little detail. Auston has no 6th street. Ha ha, boy you almost pulled the wool over my eyes, you had me going.

:
: : Hmmm, I got a call late last night. I knew before I even answered the phone, that Renegade had gotten out of his cage again.
: : "Hello?", I said.
: : "Hello, sir, sorry to wake you. This is the Austin Police department. We have your glider in custody. I'm afraid your going to have to come down to the station and pick him up."
: : "Alright," I said, "I'll be right down."
: : As I crawled out of bed, I couldn't imagine what the little guy had gotten into, but I was fearing the worst. After getting dressed, I walked across the house and into the garage. Of course it was no suprise that my Corvette wasn't there where I had left it. Thoughts of murder danced through my head, and that was almost a happy thought. So, borrowing my wife's car, I head to the station to see how much this ordeal was going to cost me.

: : When I arrived at the station, I walked to the front desk and told the officer who I was. She directed me down the hall and to the left. There I would meet the officer in charge of the case, Officer Daily. Making my way down the hall, I spied the officer walking into the room I was headed towards.
: : "Officer Daily?" I asked.
: : He poked his head out the door and said, "Yes, can I help you?"
: : I told him who I was and he got a bemused look on his face. He then asked me to come in and sit down.
: : "Sir," he said with chargrin, "This evening about 12:30 am, we picked up a late model Corvette soliciting some young ladies out on 6th Street. When officers approached the vehicle, he made a run for it. The result was a high speed chase through the streets of Austin that lasted almost an hour. Had he not run out of gas, we might not have caught him, and someone could have gotten hurt."

: : Well, at this point, I was almost in a rage. I asked if I could see him. The officer told me that after I filled out some paperwork, that he would be released to my custody. Since he was only a minor, no charges would be filed. I filled out what must have been 3 or 4 hundred forms, and the officer said he'd be right back with Renegade. He told me to be careful, cause the little guy had had way to much to drink that night, and might not be feeling well. He left me alone in the room. Boy, was he gonna get it, I thought to myself, his life was in for some major changes....things weren't going to be the same for him ever again......
