: Jane, you are right on tract with a very recent theory that some of us are having.. While in chat one evening myself and Mr. glider were talking about the possibilities of maybe different "tribes" within the glider species, just so i don't go into the he said she said thing i will recap what the jest of the conversation has been. He has gliders that were exported as a group, a large group. They were not fighting and showed no signs of fighting and they were all housed in one cage. Males and females alike. Could this be because they were from the same country? The same tribe? When noticing the different gliders with different stripes, noses, tails, and shapes of the face.. could it be a differention of the tribes? Could all gliders with the longer noses all be related with the rounder faces? Could the issues when trying to introduce one tribe to another be a problem? some can take gliders that look very very similar and house them together with little to no problem. If the 2 "are" from different tribes wouldn't it be natural they would fight? Through all the mass breedings are we going to loose those specific characteristics that actually define the difference? Could it be the countries, or individual tribes within the countries? After all we are talking about Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand, New Guinea, and Tazmania.... so the variations could be a broad as lets say our Native American Indians..
