: I just wanted to let everyone know that this page has really been a big help to me as I am a new glider mommy with one little girl.
It is always nice to hear that we have been able to help someone, thank you for telling that.
: I do have one or two questions though, my Gizmo is coming along and willing to jump on my hands and arms when they are in the cage and accepts treats eagerly. Because she is a little older I do not know how to get her used to being on me without having to chase her around the room to get her back in her cage. I don't want to stress her out but I really beleive the potential is there except that she is six months old and rather hyper.
While six months oop is not a baby glider, she sure isn't an old glider either, she probably hasn't even gone through the puberty/adolescent stage yet. It sounds as though you are making remarkable progress with her. Try taking her out more during the day time hours and spending time with her. Get her use to your touch and the sound of your voice. The more time that you spend with her the faster that she will bond to you.
: Also, how common are naps?
All my gliders will nap, they do sleep more during the day but they also nap at night and all of them generally about the same time. Likewise you will find them up periodically throughout the day as well.
