I have to say I definately agree with cynthia on this..After having a sick glider and spending so much time with him he is wonderfully bonded now. I have only had my gliders for a little over a month. They also are about a 1 and 1/2 or more and we and imported pair. Now he is my buddy. I can pick him up and everything..Juliet is behaving much better too, seems that she is learning from Romeo.
Just give them alot of love and as much time as you can, they will come around. Try some honey or food on your fingers, I hand feed Romeo for the past week. This seems to have done the trick and carring him around with me alot more.

: : I have had my glider for 2 months now...although he has become much more calm...he never wants to come out of his cage..I have to make him come out...I try to play with him as much as possible to get him to bond...I just wanted to know if this was normal for him to want to be in his cage so much..thanks!

: No not really. It sounds as though he is still feeling intimidated and shy. Try spending more time with him when he is sleepy during the day, perhaps by wearing him in a pouch and touching him often. The more time that you spend with him the quicker that he will bond to you.
