What are your dimensions for your cages? We have Benji in a 3'x3'x1.5' and I decided today that with our decision to get a female glider ASAP and the possibility of a small glider family belonging, that we would make a better, safer, and more "sensical" cage for them.

How does 6'x3'x4' sound? Could that possibly be too big for them? I've seen quite a few cage pics with some that big, but what do you all think?

I'm using a plastic fencing that zip-tied to 1/2" PVC pipe. What do you all think?

EDIT: I realized that I'd put in the wrong dimensions for the old cage, lol. The back and side is one large 3'x3' square with 1.5' width. It really isn't as tiny as I'd originally posted it as

The first cage is way to small. The dimensions of the one you are going to make is soooo much better!!!

With suggie cages, you cant go to large for them! Even if it means making it so large that you cant get it out of your kitchen!!! Right Catman!!!

I don't know if they could chew thru plastic fencing, ask Catman what he used, he made such a wonderful large cage he can't get it through the door LOL

If you have chewers PVC wont work. I have 5 in a all PVC cage and no one has chewed thru it....yet. Here is a cage I'm making for the lady that gave us cinnamon. 6'5"x3'x2'5". She is a renter, so she needs to be able to move it through door ways

I use Hardware cloth/netting. It's plastic and comes in a roll 15 feet long and 36 inches wide.

Basically I bought the same thing you have Catman! We are making it a much simpler design as it is our first PVC pipe design. Benji is one that if we give him something new in his cage, he'll lose interest in whatever he WAS chewing on. So that may help.

Oh, and I'm a renter too, lol. So ours is just the right size to barely make it through the doorways, lol.
