It's finally done and the gang is moved in. I've discovered a few problems though......I need to make new toys! I no longer have enough to fill that huge cage! Also I just want to sit in there with them all night!

They seem to love it! They've been going nuts, everywhere in there! It's even big enough for me to take a chair in and sit with them. When I did, 4 of them immediately came running to me and were crawling all over me as if to say how much they loved it! The baby even ran up my arm, sat on my shoulder, and started licking my cheek, which she has never done.

I spent 3 hours in there tonight! This could be a problem.......

More pics of them playing in my album.

That is awesome! Don't over-fill it with toys, leave plenty of space for leaping. It looks almost big enough for short glides. You did a great job!

Very cool! I guess you didn't get Catman's advice to not build it so big that you can get it through the door (to take outside for a good power washing)!

I'll have to show it to my husband. He was throwing around ideas a while back to build one that we could bring a chair into. My problem with that is that we don't have anywhere to keep it!

I'm sure you & your babies are going to LOVE the time you spend together in there!

In the beginning no, we forgot to calculate extra height for the joints and had to go back and cut it down. After that, we were very mindful of the height! But, now it does fit out the door, barely!

If you do build your own, I'd suggest using 3/4" pipe. It will be a little sturdier than 1/2". Let me know if you have any other questions. I started thinking about a corner cage last night........

I've created a cage monster

LOL I know the feeling

Check out CL! I got around 90 feet of free 3/4 PVC white water pipe for free. That greatly reduced the cage cost down to about $35.00. When building a PVC cage each connection adds 3/4 of an inch.

Thats cool that you can sit down in it too.Good job

Ahhhhhhh, good idea about craigslist! Good info on the connectors too, I'll file that away in the steel trap as I'm sure the monster is going to come out again soon!
