Well after playtime tonight I was trying to get the gliders up Moe jumped on my shoulder as always and I was trying to get Mia in her pouch, she wasnt having it so I scooped her up and this was the results of trying to pick up my glider with joey in pouch....

She latched on and would not let go and got my wrist with her back claws then when she did release she grabed onto my other arm....

What were you doing at the time she latched on? Did you try to grab her?, was she just tasting you? etc... I think along with these pictures and all, you should describe what you and she were doing at the time, so people have a good idea of what can and does happen.

You should show this picture to Pocket Pets! Remember, they are harmless! I am truly very sorry that you got hurt though and I will pray for a fast recovery! Don't be mad at your baby though!

Eh it is a every week thing no biggy. She is my problem child and isnt bonded as well as I would like she usually goes right in her pouch when i turn the light on and she didnt. So I scooped her up with a was cloth like always but I didnt have a good grip on her and she got her head out latched on and it went from there.

Ahhhh yes, our sweet babies can sometimes turn into tyrants when they are held against their will. I have one who just thinks it's funny to latch on and not let go. He needs no provocation at all, and it's always totally off guard because he doesn't do it often.

Keep an eye on that bite. Glider bites are a lot like a cat bite. They have small teeth that can sink deeply into our skin forcing bacteria inside the needle-like wound. The wound then heals from the outside in, trapping the bacteria.

Ed - Lucky Glider, ended up in the hospital for surgery and a week's stay when a glider bit his hand.

My grandma saw one of my scratch wounds once and I got a 75 minute lecture of the inappropriateness of having a small animal with tiny claws jump around on me. The next time she saw me, she was intrigued and delights by my glider stories. Go figure.
