Okay - here goes.

I'm 45 (but like to believe I'm still 35). I've been a single mother her whole life - Kalie is 24, she just moved out in April. So now it's just me and 3 fuzz butts. This is my daughter below - I'm lucky - she's my BFF

I would consider myself stong because I had to be - not that I wanted to be. Had a great career, head of finance and payroll for 18K employees, bought my own house - then I got hit by fricken dump truck.
Went back to work - had back surgery a year later, went back to work after 8 weeks. About 9 months later I went down hill again - the Dr. cut my spinal cord and forgot to tell me - so I had a huge cyst strangling my spinal cord. Had the surgery to get that fixed but could no longer return to work. When I clean and do things around the house it's in 20 minute intervals, so if it seems like i'm on here a lot, that's why. I need to rest in-between and the laptop is by the couch.
About 5 years ago after having my life dominated by dr. appointments, morophine, fentynal and numerous other meds, I had to take back control and walked away from it all. I now rely soley on the heating pad and a few advil.
I own two racecars - an open wheel modified (won the championship), and my daughter races a 4cyl and beats the crap outta the boys. It's something to be a part of.



Team wise, if that makes sense.It takes my mind off of everything in the summer months. (when I'm not playing in my flower beds - love to grow stuff)
Other than that - I LOVE to cook (can't bake for *!) - but I can cook anything and do - even if it's just for me. I love cooking shows and HGTV (why don't they ever come to Buffalo??!!)

That's it - nothing overly exciting. Gonna attempt to eddit so I can add a pic of myself - we'll see if it works.Edit - It didn't work.

lol - well it's boring compared to running around multiple children and working all day!!! but i have to admit - no soccor mom as jack squat on me when i'm watching my daughter race a car at 60mph lol! Hello Grey Hair!!

Well I think it's an awesome bio of an awesome life! You sound like an amazing woman as does that feisty daughter of yours! But yeah, I'd be worried sick! Then again racing may have taught my middle daughter (18) how to drive better.... less than a week after her 18th bday she hit a sharp curves, went off into the gravel, over corrected and smashed her car head on into a tree!
So needless to say, I worry about her driving to work! (I'm only half joking!)

OMG Jazz - I'm glad she wasn't hurt!!! I know I'm a lunitic when someone crashes my daughter!!
Kyro - you just watch how boring the next 6 months are on FB lol.
Omis - trust me, you don't wanna trade haha, I left out all the blah, poor me, sad stuff - I knew if I included it all that it would just put me in a bad mood.
In the last two years I've really enjoyed this site - especially those who have been around as long, or longer than me:) It's nice to see some info on everyone!!

See, the key word being "when" shows it's not unusual and that is the antithesis of boring. I would die on spot. Whew. You must have a strong heart.

bahaha - well, this is her 4th year and she got REALLY good. She races with about 20 cars, and she won 3 races this year, with another 5 2nd place finishes. She started to catch the "champion" in points, so he did wreck her on purpose once (punk), and she had a wheel break and fall off once and hit the wall (in front of me of course) - her car is extremely safe with a cage inside to protect her and awesome safety equipment.
So it's not a super common occurrance, but it did happen twice this year - haha, yes I was a "lunatic".
