I'm confused, do you mean free as in loose outdoors?

Oh yes, I particularly love those last two, indoor ones. I just feel safer having them indoors, gives more control on climate & environment. Also a little added security if there is an escape imho, and/or damage done to screen due to weather conditions or wild animals, possible deer crashing through and such when outdoors.

The ones attached to house is nice imo for build around a doggie door, that allows them to go outdoors to potty when home alone for the workday.

Now I just adore the black one on the end of that house. It would rock during the fall and summer here but I don't think it would fair well in the sandblasting season.

TJones is right - I have a fully enclosed screened in side porch, and since I live on a lake I get possums, racoons, armadillos, owls, moles, field mice, squirrels, and you name it. Since I was putting cat food back there for my cats at one point, it didn't a take but a day for it be discovered and they quickly ripped the screen to get access to it. So I would only keep mine in the house.

Thank you so much for this thread!

There are so many good ideas...and with pictures it might be easier to talk the hubby into something like that.
