Figured I should share this on GliderGossip as well -
Danielle(CountrynCrafty) and I worked on this website - she asked how to calculate hets and when know one seemed to be able to answer it, I pulled out my genetics notes and got it done!
And making it even easier, I added a calculator: Color Calculator
The old chart was from PetSugarGlider who I tried to get in touch with & haven't heard back yet - not sure if they created it or borrowed it from someplace else. They relied on using 1/2 the % of the higher het parent and 1/4 the & of the lower het parent for most of it, which doesn't really make sense as each parent should offer the same chance of passing on the gene should they carry for it.
Along the bottom you can click on the various ways to look at calculating hets - we chose the % out of standard greys as that is what breeders would use this for to advertise(if you have a colored joey, you know what genes it carries). You can also click on each type of cross to see the math behind the calculations.
All of the information is taken from HUMAN genetic inheritance of autosomal recessive traits(which is what our colors for the most part would be).
