Hey ya'll! Just had an extra minute and wanted to share a few pictures. I've currently got a small colony of three gliders (Sampson WFB male, Broden BB Male, Sabra Mosaic Female), with a fourth (Ghost Leucistic Male) who will be coming home August 20th. I have dealt solely with Diane Robertson of Highland Glider with all three of my current gliders, as well as the fourth joey who will be weaning next month. All three of these little boogers are an absolute pleasure! They came to us just as expected, in amazing health (according to our VERY well respected Glider/Exotic Vet), and having obviously been handled by her quite a lot. I don't mean for this to sound like an advertisement lol, but I truly cannot express how helpful she has been with everything I have needed. We feed the HSG All Natural Diet with a variety of side dishes including fresh veggies and fruits. I supplement with a powdered vitamin that I mix at home and their wellness checks have looked almost as good as their fur lol. I freeze the HSG in the typical icecube servings and always serve fresh side dishes. For treats they love natural dried fruits, yogies, an avocado (every month ish), and dry oatmeal flakes are a few favorites. They are absolutely addicted to the treadmill and are all very lean as we don't overfeed treats. Sampson, our WFB 9 months old, is a yogie hound, a very confident glider, and currently the most tame of our three. Broden, the BB 9 month old, is an absolute lover, and by far the most active and athletic of the three (crackhead), but is a marshmallow during the day or tent times. Sabra, the little 6 month Mosaic girl, is incredibly sweet, and the biggest cuddler - if she can find a nook or pouch in your clothes she will be out in five minutes. I believe the enclosure is the Sydney, most of my toys come from Sarah's Suggie Shoppe(Top notch!), Etsy, etc. All of my cage sets are PetLuv and absolutely outstanding, with a smattering of pouches and such from Etsy. I have two stealth wheels that I plan on switching to Raptors asap, one glider treadmill (another on the way), and a glider kitchen to contain their mess. I also have a Fischer Price Firehouse firmly mounted to the side of the enclosure with zip ties, and another Castle in their tent. About 1/2 the enclosure is changed out and cleaned weekly. Since we are adding a fourth glider I will be purchasing an identical enclosure and attaching the two enclosures side by side, creating one single enclosure that is twice as wide across to foster their activity and gliding. I have been mounting treadmills and cascades at odd angles and heights inside the enclosure to help them stay active and the absolutely love the changes. I feel that a single enclosure is plenty for a few gliders, but I wasn't ok with having four in a single enclosure. Since a custom PVC enclosure isn't something I'm comfortable with due to dogs in the home, I had to do something to double their space. Sorry to ramble but I wanted to share some of my experience so far. I've only had glider's since December 2013 but I've wanted them and read about them since I was 12 (I'm a manchild of 25 now), and I am still surprised daily at how much they are bonding and how much time I spend around them. My wife had no idea why I was so enthralled before they came home, but once here she immediately fell in love and I have a hard time getting Broden off of her. Thanks for taking the time to look! Sorry for the size of the pictures. I'm awful with a Mac. Broden and Sampson 1 week ago:
