A pouch is simply a bag that can hold a sugar glider. Baby sugar gliders nurse in the mother's pouch for weeks. Owners of sugar gliders try to emulate this environment by offering pouches to their pets in order to give them a safe, comfy and warm feeling that they will recall from being joeys.

A typical cage setup will include at least one and most-likely multiple sleeping pouches.

You can use thin and open top pouches for Summer months and tightly closed and double-walled pouches for Winter.
