Tents are often used as a large, enclosed and safe place for your sugar gliders to get out of their cage. A large enough tent will allow the owner to crawl inside and interact. This is an absolute must for taming/bonding.
Most any tent can be used for this and can be modified inside using safety pins to hold up ropes, fabrics, more mesh and so forth.
Tents are often used as controlled environments to get neat photos of the sugar gliders as they play, exercise or even jump.
When using a tent with your sugar gliders, it is mandatory that it have a bottom to prevent escape. There exist some larger mesh mosquito type of tents that would be really neat to use, but very few of them have a secure bottom.
A very popular tent in our community is the Genji Net Tent. It pops-up with ease and folds down almost as fast for storage out of site for those of us with limited room. It also has a very large area of mesh to help keep you cool inside and to also allow the gliders to climb. But you can also use a larger, sturdier or most any tent if you have room for it.
