My sugar glider won’t bond to me

Hi. I have always wanted a sugar glider and we were offered one from a breeder, he was 9 months old and we were told that he would be easier to bond with and be more suitable for us. Although it’s been 2 months since I got him and he absolutely hates me. He bites whenever I try to hold him or touch him (and his bites hurt a lot) he will do everything possible to avoid me. I’ve tried everything! I’ve even contacted the breeder for help and she ignored all my messages. What do I do? Is it too late? Is he too old now?

ALL my gliders love live mealworm, if your glider is slow to take, just keep offering, or put in a dish, or start with dried mealworms. once they try to eat one, they wont NOT like it.

my gliders all bond differently, and a few have been hard to do, just stay fearful of humans. 1. stop letting her bite you. 2. I dont think its to late to bond. I have a 4 year old that is scared of me, but shows small signs of improving, but I dont try to bond with her, I just enjoy the other gliders mostly. put her in a bonding pouch and have her with you for 2 hours a day. then put her back in cage. she cant bite you in pouch, you just need to use fleece to protect your hand while you put her in the bonding pouch. STOP trying to pet her for now, just be in pouch, talk to her, maybe give her a LIVE MEALWORM thru cage bars, live mealworms at petstores in my area. petsmart, pets plus, uncle bills etc. NO more biting for now, no more petting for now. bonding pouch, talking, treat (live mealworm).
