 My new Sugar Gliders

Yesterday i got my 3 year old sugar gliders. I have never had any before but i have done plenty of research on them and i really wanted one. So i went on Craigslist and found two for one hundred dollars with supplies and all. I figured that was a pretty GREAT deal considering how expensive they are just for ONE. Well when they were one they had to have surgery on their tail because the girl who last owned them left them with a family memeber who had some other sugar gliders and she put them in the cage with hers and they got attacked so now they only have half a tail, but they still are as cute as can be. They like to eat cat food, apples, carrots, and bird seeds. But they have not really ate alot since i got them. A few of my friends and i played with them for a long time last night. And they were gliding everywhere. I know it's gonna take time, but i wish they would bond to me quickly. Because Stormy likes to bite me a lot and she is ALWAYS sleeping. And Roxy loves to be on my back or head but barley ever lets me hold her in my hands. So i have been leaving them in the pouch and wearing it around my neck when they sleep. Hopefully soon they will get used to me =]

The lady i bought them from fed them cat food. That's what she told me to feed them. She gave me a list of what she fed them. But where can you buy meelworms from! We have not pet stores down here...

Are you sure you did research on them? because sugar gliders are nocturnal and its natural for them to sleep all day and be up all night... also I reccomend getting your glider some meelworms or crickets! they love them and they are highly nutritous! as for Suggieluver02... Sugar gliders in the wild are omnivores... they eat small birds and thier eggs and other small animals in wild australia... but yes! i deffinately don't reccomend cat food. haha

Is the glider bitting or just nipping? I have found out with mine if you just ignore the nipping it will usually stop
