Will cruelty ever cease!

 Will cruelty ever cease!

I just would like to share this story about a glider that had been rescued, an is now trying to find a good home to re-home in my state. I'm trying my hardest to get this poor little thing, I've had a friend e-mail this lady Then e-mailed me with the posting for the ad.

I warn everyone now, this is about the worst that I have read so far. My boyfriend just dropped his jaw when I read it out loud. An he truly does not have a liking for my little critters.

I have a very special little glider for adoption. This girl came to me in a plastic critter keeper, she was being housed in sawdust bedding that looked like it hadn't been changed in weeks (months?), the bottom of it was black with urine and fecal matter and possibly what may have been mold. All that was in there was a urine soaked pouch with chew holes in it and some cat food and mixed seeds. She had an eye infection that was SO BAD her eye had swollen up almost the size of her little head. She had also chewed half of her tail off. Her fur was matted with fecal matter and stained orange with urine. After almost a year of vet work and rehabilitation I believe she's ready to be adopted out into a home that has another glider she can go with and more one on one time to spend with her. She's a sweet glider, not too crabby, but doesn't like to be physically picked up or grabbed (as most gliders.) We have named her Chance.

Chance still has thin hair on her tail, but after it being so badly infected I didn't expect it to all grow back right away, these things take time. She has no use of her right eye but gets along fine and has adapted to not using it. She's pretty healthy right now, ofcourse with her previouse diet you never know what kind of issues may arise from that as she gets older. She's been on BML with fruits/veggies meal worms and organic goatmild yogurt with live cultures here for the past 10 months. If you think you could provide a loving home for this VERY SPECIAL little girl please get ahold of me! She's been through alot and I would keep her if I could but right now it's not fair for her as I don't have any other gliders for her to go with and I don't have enough time to devote to her.

Miss Doolittle, I am Nicole.. I have been following Sugar Glider Rescues on a hunt for 2 females that I am meant to be with for years to come, part of my family. Gail, with Lucky Glider Rescue, mentioned you as a closer way for me to connect with needy Suggies. I have a property in Oregon and preparing for an opportunity of 2 gliders to present itself. I am open to rehabilitating injured, abused, malnourished, extreme cases have my heart. There is no doubt I want to obtain a pair. It would be wonderful to soon run a non-profit association and help as much as I can. I would love any advice, suggestions, connections and Gliders that need all I have to give.

Miss Doolittle, What ever happened to this little girl? I feel so very awful. This is truely a very sad story but I am hoping it has a happy ending.
