: First off: Did Chewy RUN away or did your mom WALK away. I don't know. My mother will not be honest with me about exactly what happened. What she does say does not ring true...as someone on an email list pointed out. Gliders do not run away from warm spots in 30 degree weather in the middle of the day. So I don't know what happened. I just want to find her if I can. Did she forget, walk off, come back and he was gone? She says she was feeding her, then Chewy just disappeared. If someone took off with him chances are slim you'll find him. Do you really think someone would take an animal like a glider? Wouldn't Chewy have crabbed? BUT maybe someone found the sock and gave it to an employee who then put it in lost and found. My sister has checked for me...I am now back in Austin and am calling daily. We have an ad in the paper. Mother said she did ask at the desk - but I'm not sure she did. Your mom needs to go back swallow her pride (cause this is probably gonna embaress her) and ask to #1 see the lost and found and #2 bring a picture of him or even a book with a picture of one and ask if any of the employees saw him after hours and mistook him for a rat and #3 ask if any employee remembers throwing away a sock. I know I probably sound rude or harsh but I'm trying to be realistic. No, it doesn't sound rude or harsh. I didn't think of taking a picture...that's a good idea. Note the lesson here: My mother knew NOT to let Chewy out, or take her out in the weather, etc. etc. and yet she did it anyway. Think about what you will do in these situations before you get a glider, please everyone. Even someone you trust can mistreat your SG. I feel horrible, because SHE TRUSTED ME with her life. Now she is gone. Leia
