Subject: Play Time Posted by Elvira on April 06, 1999 at 20:36:17: Gotta question. One thing that stuck out in my mind most of all in reading about gliders is that they can die from neglect, that you must spend at least 2 hours a day with them. Our routine around here is that around 10-10:30 at night I get her up and bring her into computer room with me. I spend up until midnight or later playing around on internet while she runs around the room. She climbs all over me some of the time, nibbling on my ears, crawling in and out of my clothes, etc., but some nights she doesn't even come near me. Is this a good thing? Is this bonding? Is this playing?? I've read where other gliders actually "play" with toys with their owners, Elvira doesn't seem interested in toys. She loves to be "on" me and chew my hair, and clothes, and face, etc. but as far as playing like a cat - not happening. She is healthy and and eats good. She seems fine. Am I spending enough time with her? Sometimes I feel guilty when I read posts from people who carry theirs around with them all day. That is not at all possible with me as I work in a medical clinic. I was thinking of getting a second glider, but not really sure ...... HELP???
