Subject: Sudden Death and looking for breeder in KY
Posted by Randle on May 08, 1998 at 16:29:29:

Greetings,
Would anyone have a clue as to what could cause the sudden
death of an apparently healthy happy sugar glider? We have
had two males for about three years. We dont know the actual
age because they were being soldas no-longer-wanted pet
by new stepfather who didn't know the age. In the beginning we
read all we could and have followed all guidlines as to
nutrition, housing, love and care, etc. They are friendly,
sociable, and active. At 2:00am they were doing their usual
rampage, running amok in their cage, running on the wheel, etc.
About noon today, we found one dead in his sleeping box, curled
up just like he was asleep. We are distreesed as to his death
and worried about the other one. We have long since been aware
of hind limb paralysis and have tried to make sure their
nurition is appropriate. They both are probably a little
overweight but certainly not obese. Any thoughts appreciated

Also, a while back I ran across a website or web reference
to a Kentucky breeder who was not that far away from us
(northen middle Tennessee). Does anyone know of them, or
any other breeder nearby?

Any info greatly appreciated

Randle and Pam
