I have a galvanized wire and wood cage for my 2
gliders and its fine. Contrary to a lot that's been said on
this page, it is safe for gliders. It is not toxic and it does not
hurt their feet. Also, mine has never rusted from their urine in
the 3 years they've lived in it.

If that's your only option for a cage, I think you'll be ok.
You could also always mail order a cage, there are tons for
sale on the internet.
