I have to agree with Betsycc, that was my first impression, nutritionally lacking something. Do you know what their parents were fed? It might give you a clue. Also, sometimes animals in general, when un happy will eat their feces and play in it, but it probably isn't an issue here.

: What type of cage are you using? Most cages have a screen to prevent gliders from getting to their feces and to stop them from eating discarded(possibly spoiled)foods that fall to the floor.

: My vet said that suaully when an animal eats feces - it is lacking something in it's diet. Have you asked your vet for his or her opinion?
