My glider does not like mealworms, he's goes coo coo for crickets. I think that the meal worms don't move fast enough to catch his excitement (he's silly crazy). Are the mealworms you are trying alive? I have had some pet stores sell me some that were either dead, or had 1 foot in the grave (figure of speach). The gliders seem to enjoy the "hunt". Crickets are just a little more of a challenge to catch, so it is fun for mine. I would avoid feeding your glider too much beef, even though it is high in protein, it has an extremly high level of phosphorus. Chicken has just as much if not more of the protein, and 2/3rd less the phosphorus, it is more balanced for the itty bitties.

Help any?

: What size mealworms are you trying to give him. You may want to try the small ones as an experiment.
: I have feed mine crickets only once. I'd rather stick to the worms. For protien, you could try giving him some chicken, turkey or beef. That should do the trick.

: HOpe this helps....

: : As nasty as this sounds, have you tried cutting them up a bit so that they can see/smell the insides of the worm?
: : That was suggested to us, it worked. Also, it took Belle a while to come around to mealworms. Baron still won't have anything to do with them. I think maybe he's still to young.
: : We haven't tried the crickets yet, so I can't help you there! :) Good luck!
