What size mealworms are you trying to give him. You may want to try the small ones as an experiment.
I have feed mine crickets only once. I'd rather stick to the worms. For protien, you could try giving him some chicken, turkey or beef. That should do the trick.

: That was suggested to us, it worked. Also, it took Belle a while to come around to mealworms. Baron still won't have anything to do with them. I think maybe he's still to young.
