Wise people learn from the experiences of others so I am asking everyone please avoid socks and any other material that may have threads pulled from them easily. Okay, I sorta have to agree, yet disagree. Socks can be dangerous. BUT, and this is just me, when my glider goes out with me, I keep an eye on him. Even if he's just sleeping in my pocket. If I am going to go out and would have to ignore him for a great period of time, I just leave him home. I have a pouch that I made that I keep with me when I have Didi with me(I took a large piece of material and cut it into a big circle. Then I made holes around the circle and threaded a shoe lace through it.)I rarely use it, though. He usually stays in my pocket. And he sleeps in a little "Happy hut" for birds. They are made of a felt-like material, and they are only about 8 bucks for the small(which holds my glider, it would probably hold two, but when I get another glider Im getting a larger 'pouch.' It's hard to explain... but it's open at both ends and had a piece of board in the middle of it, inside the material. I made a small hole and took the board out. Then I sewed one end of the thing shut. It hooks on a cage cus it has clips on it, and my glider *loves* it. Your glider may be disliking your pouch because of how it smells. Try hand washing it in the sink with no soap... then either let it air dry or throw it in the drier. That can help get did of any smells it may have. Then keep it with you so it smells like you...
