Dear Mandy & Pele,

First question is how tame is she, can you handle her outside of her cage alerady? I purchased my first trio ( now upto nine gliders, includeing 4 just OOP joeys )which included 2 females 1yr old, 2 yr old.. and a male 1 1/2 yr old... none of which could be held, they would let you pet them alittle inside the cage but that was it, Sassy was the friendliest ( most attitude at least ) so I worked harder with her... offering lots of treats and touching her all I could in the cage, till I decided to just go for it... I'd reach into the nesting box and take her out when she was asleep and wearing a robe with big pockets I'd just toss her in one of them with a peanut or grape... she mostly would just fall back asleep... I kept this up, with her eventually climbing out to race around my back and try to escape until I could just grab her whenever I wanted... we were doing very well the she was expecting so I lessened up alittle, but the joeys seem to have her calmed down alittle... her two are tiny and need supplimental feedings but she is so used to me now that I can just reach into the pouch and remove them and pet her anywhere I want... so just give it time and bond with her the same way you would with a baby, place your shirt in the cage, put it on with her sleeping in the pocket... remove here from the cage when shes tired and just stick her quickly in a pocket etc... it takes work but isn't as hard as you'd think :)

good luck! and congrats on your new girl!
