Of Course, I to believe as you do Jane, When I was discussing the utah laws, I realized then the merits of them. With the Utah Laws as they are, you don't see too many people from Utah with Gliders. The laws there are only basic common sense laws with the exception of the breeding part. Gliders being fairly new to the states and all. Utah has set up a "Law" that can be changed with time if need be. All it does is promote responsible ownership. The only people that need to be worried are those not in compliance. As with most laws. There are many cities already that don't alow the ownership of marsupials in general. The main reason for that law was to stop people from keeping wild opposums as pets. So now that gliders fall into that line, they are being caught in the "marsupial catagory" As far as Texas.. well I am sure they have their reasons. Maybe it is for the better? No one will know for sure till they find out what their reasoning is. Nothing makes for a good debate, like a new law on the books.
