:Hi, I had a problem with my gliders foot this past week.
My vet told me to use neosporin or cortaid, neither can be absorbed through the stomach lining, so licking isn't a problem. If he continues to lick you may need to put a collar on him for an hour or so after applying the disinfectant.Reapply every eight hours or so. The cortaid is more effective because of the steroid in it.
