Call your airline. I just went through this, Delta charges $120 round trip to bring them inside the plane with you, they will provide you with an FAA approved carrier. To stick them in cargo is $100/rt.

Make sure gliders aren't illegal in a state you may be laying over in. I have a layover in Boston and gliders are illegal in Massachusetts.
