Age is funny, actually I believe that after 6 months it is a better age to get a glider, in spite of what the books may say.. I believe that at that age, they have already developed their sense of independance and self. Hence the have already started to develope a personality. They have already been away from mom and dad awhile and are used to fending for themselves. Also if you are looking for a breeding couple, you may want to try to get the males a few months younger than the females. Depending on the ages that is.. As babies, they do seem to take to each other better if it were two females.
As for the bonding, you are doing fine, you are going at it slowly, and you see SHE is ready for the next step, which you are doing, which is carrying the pouch, each day make it longer and longer. You are doing great.. When you said "I leave her alone" I was worried for a minute that you actually meant Leaving her alone with no interaction at all. then I read more. Wheww.. you actually meant that you were taking things slowly (I hope). Consistantancy, working with her a little each day, sometimes several times a day.. Is the key for a tighter bond. Don't rush her.. but work WITH her. Good Luck..
