Have you tried baby foods? you can give them straight beef, chicken, veal or turkey. They are already mashed up and soft. Also, surprizingly enough you can give her cottage cheese, cream cheese, withi or with out fruit, Yogurt. All are good sources of protiens. She may not eat mealworms or crickets until she is older. You may want to try the small meal worms first, and you may have to lop of the heads. As for calcium intake. Itf you want them to get it naturally, you must feed her lots of vegestables, yogurt, monkey bisqets, veg. juice, eggs, fruits do not have calcium. Hope this helps.... 'JO : : Well, I'm about to make some Leadbeater's mix for my baby glider. But I wanted to ask a question about protein. My glider, Eve, really doesn't seem big enough to eat a cricket yet. I haven't even gotten to eat ANYTHING yet (since I got her yesterday). Today I got some mealworms and they were disgusting-- not because worms make me squeemish or anything....because they were DEAD!! They were SUPPOSED to be alive, but they absolutely positively WERE NOT. So here's the question. The egg in Leadbeater's provides the protein. So can I wait to give her crickets til she's bigger if she's eating the Leadbeater's? Or should I give her some boiled chicken? That would probably be the best option. I just wanna get some experienced advice, to make sure I'm being the best mommy I possibly can...hehehe...thanks everyone!
