once the body emerges all the way, they will go back into the pouch for feedings, their bodies will not fit anymore.

If the mother trusts you, you can begin to handle them immediately, If you have her pouch or pocket trained you can carry both of them now..

and how much is safe..

a little bit each time start slow about a few minutes building the time as you go..

That time varies between gliders My first litter weaned out at 5 weeks, the last one I removed from mom at 9 weeks..
