I suggest anywhere around nine or ten. When your sugar gliders awaken, they will be hungry. And if they arise before 12:00 pm (and they will 90% of the time), they will be upset because you have not supplied them with food. When you purchase your gliders, PLEASE do so from a breeder! Pet store gliders are usually unhealthier, less tame, and older than ones bought from a breeder. Not to mention they cost redicuously more! However, a good friend got a glider from a pet store and it is a very good pet. But she got it very soon after it arrived at the pet store and she takes exceptional care of it. Although, I still would not recommend that and I suggest you do some surfing and find a local (and reputable breeder).
