It makes a lot of us angry, but as far as weaning goes, they should be allowed to wean themselves usually between 5 and 8 weeks, howver; mine had to be placed separated from mom at 9 weeks oop since they themselves were still nursing as well as eating reg food. It cause Baybe to get mastitus, when one of the glider bit too hard on one of her teats..Usually, mom won't allow them back in after they wean. Too many breeders feel that the younger the glider, the tighter the bond. Some actually feel if the new owner hand feeds it, it will also tighten the bond. But in my opinion, the glider will determine the bonding time, why risk their health and lives..EDUCATION is very very important, RESEARCH will also aid in the new owner knowing what to look for, and what the appropriate age should be to take a new baby home..If new owners offered food while they are there it also would help for them to know it is eating on it's own..
