Subject: Wow!! A few more questions about the coolest pet....

Hello, for those of you who don't know, my friend had had a sugar glider, and was not able to take care of it. It is only, supposedly, about 8 months old, and I have been caring for it because otherwise it would have ended up in a home where it could aspire to getting stoned every night...and day. I have been trying to be a good parent, and have spent alot of time with her, and since I've got her I have noticed a remarkable change in her. She has become more confident, her balance and willingness to climb around has increased, but i still have a few worries. While I have found a vet who knows sugar gliders well, I thought I would ask you all my questions first.
One of my problems is about diet. Is crumbled hardboiled egg enough? She also has dried assorted nuts.... Yes, i give her fruits and veggies, this question is just about whether she needs other means of protein.
Next, she won't and perhaps can't glide. I have set her on a chair with soft pillows and blankets all around, only a foot below her, and she wont jump. She never jumps more than 5 inches, and then only after minutes of deliberation. I think this is an after effect of not being allowed play time out of her cage very often before I adopted her, but I really want her to overcome this. My intentions are not only for her, true, as I would enjoy watching her jump and glide and play greatly, but I also want her to be healthy and happy.
Another result of her longtime encagement is her being un comfortable climbing on anything but cage mesh and rope. ON most cloths and also tree branches and other materials she seems to become clumsy, but otherwise she is an acrobat, in her cage that is. How can I help her exercise and become more comfortable with her own abilities?

This is sorta a long message, but I hope you guys will help me as you have so often already. She does get all her vit and min, and she gets calcium in her reptovite...I think that is enough. I don't have selenium supplements, but I was told those aren't necessary. Her diet includes eggs (hard boiled) assorted veggies-frozen- including corn, beans, carrots, and peas, and fresh grapes, apples, and pears. I have also given her a little mango and bannanas and she always has a little dried food including nuts, seeds, and dried fruits. I change her food and water everyday, and put liquid vitamins in her water, and reptovite in small ammounts on her food..
