: Try putting a thick enough layer of honey or baby food sweet potato or plum on your finger that when he goes to bite you, he gets a tasty treat instead. After he licks your finger clean, pet him with the SAME finger. (Eos did this to me at first, but she stopped trying to bite once she realized I wouldn't hurt her.) I finally did get him to eat the honey off my finger by letting him bite it as you suggested. Now he doesn't bite my finger. He sniffs it and if there's no honey he looks sort of sad. If there is honey he will eat it. He even let me pet him this morning while he was lying in his food dish. Thanks, everyone, for the help and suggestions. I just hope that our upcoming trip doesn't shake the little guy up and set him back. I have put his travel cage inside his home cage so he can explore it and so it will smell familiar before we depart. I also plan to buy bottled water so he won't have to drink strange water. What else should I do to make him comfortable on this trip? Sarah and Tobe
