:Rub the pouch on the outside OFTEN. : Even though he crabs every time?
I think you should keep on trying to pet him, especially when he's sleepy - that will help him get used to being touched and to your scent.

: EVERYTIME you look into the pouch give him a treat.

: But he won't eat out of my hand. I tried offering him a drop of honey on my fingertip and he went to bite me. When I held out a little container with honey on it, he bit the container, then licked the honey. What should I do? He won't take a peanut or fruit or anything from my hand.
Try putting a thick enough layer of honey or baby food sweet potato or plum on your finger that when he goes to bite you, he gets a tasty treat instead. After he licks your finger clean, pet him with the SAME finger. (Eos did this to me at first, but she stopped trying to bite once she realized I wouldn't hurt her.)

: Sometimes he tries to jump off me when I am carrying him, but then he generally jumps right back on. I have had to pull him off a couple things, though, which I did as carefully as possible.
If he jumps off of you, gently put him back in your carrying pouch or pocket. Eventually he will learn to go there on his own. If you are worried about him running away, try taking him out in an enclosed space (like the bathroom). It's a good sign that he jumps back on you.

: It will take time however, So be patient. Whatever you do don't let him know you are afraid of him. BTW thanks from all of us for researching first. You are doing everything okay...GOOD LUCK
I agree. :)
