I dont want to go off an a tangent here, I know that people think that many of us are "off the deep end" so to speak about how protective we can be over gliders. However, these animals are among the most fragile creatures I have encountered and I deal with exotics on a full time basis ranging from tigers to pigmy possums. I have been around this board long enough to watch many of the most loving, attentive owners have their pets die for a variety of reasons, including myself. The organization that I work with takes in more and more animals every day and most of those were ex-pets that people bought while it was the latest fad and never did an adequate amount of research to find that these animals needed extensive care. People bore easily, school budgets change frequently and the children will never be around after they leave that class/grade. I think that many people here can attest that even if you have more than one glider, the caretaker still becomes an important part of a gliders life and is not replaced by their mate. I hope you see that we have all become so protective out of a proven need to be that way for the welfare of our fuzzy little friends.
