they get meats evry third day, not just once a week. I decided to go with the puppy food, because I originally started with the taronga zoo diet calling for dog kibble aka dog food. Puppy chow has tons of vitamins which I figured would be benefitial. So I left it. i have gone to 3 days of rotation for the increased protiens. dry dog food has a 27% protien too 12% fat ration, but like I said they barely touch it. Also the canned prime cuts is 10% protien level to 3% fat ratio. I chose the rotational diet from reading books. It seems to have worked well so far. I am wondering, since she is less active than the male, if this is why she is fat. Someone suggested that mental stress could have made her eat. They were adults when I got them. Maybe I just gave them too many "good" foods, until I refined their diet. Thanks KillerBee : talk to the person that suggested you use the dog food.. I personally, wouldn never suggest a catfood , or dog food for a glider, but it sounds to me as if you are useing the rotation diet, you need to talk to the person that set you up on that diet. They need more proteins than once a week.. : every species has their own requirements regarding vits, minerals, and fats.. gliders are no exception.
