Glider should NEVER be left unsupervised in even a gliderproof room, too many things can happen, if ever in doubt, think of your glider as being a toddler, yes they are nocturnal so they play at night, as a Toddler plays during the day, Now my question to all is.. would you leave a Toddler alone in even a child proof room for 8 hours or more by themselves? A glider should never be left to play unattened,unsupervised.
read some of the stories on Realstories about hazzards in the home, and what ever you do, don't ever think. "it won't happen to me" I know of a gentleman, that loves his gliders to death, that had only one thing happen after 6 years of ownership, he now warns others, not to take your glider for granted, the life of your glider is not worth it.
