that causes weaning probs, and possibly joey death from not knowing what to eat or even how to eat. Once again, I will post this. I HAD to take my joey away from the parents at about 6 weeks before he was weaned. He nearly died, lost weight so fast and refused to eat. If a joey doesnt HAVE to be taken from the parents so young..DO NOT take them. It's stupid and cruel. Simple.
Ashjan- I know what you mean about this being a sensitive subject, it is with me too since I lived it. To sit and watch my joey nearly die because he didnt know what(maybe even how?)to eat really hurt. I hated having to force food into him every day several times a day, knowing he hated it. It sickens me too to think people do this when it isnt even necessary. There is no reason for it, it doesn't make them better pets, it's just risking thier little lives.
