Subject: HELP ME! Posted by Allison on January 09, 19100 at 12:51:28 from 205.188.198.26
I just bought 2 gliders about 4 days ago. They are fairly tame, but they won't let me pick them up. I heard that the first week was the most important time for bonding and I'm running out of time. I do let them eat out of my hand, and sometimes pick them up, but it took me almost 2 hours the other day to get them out of my pocket! Since then I am nervous to take them out of the cage. I really want to form a great bond with them and I am trying, but what am I doing wrong? I talk to them everyday and they do respond, but it scares me when they scream at me. I also want to know how I can keep them from jumping off of me when I take them out of the cage. I don't mind if they walk around a bit, but is that not good for them? Please respond to this message because I am getting very stressed. Is what they are doing normal?
