thanks cynthia. we won't be traveling again until later spring. That is why i have been trying to go ahead and get them switched over now. It is going to be a permanent change. I won't be flip flopping back and forth. I know they are stressed some when i am gone but i think it would stress them more to travel 15+ hours in the car with them. We usually take them when we are traveling only a few hours away but when we head out to IN it would be a difficult trip for them. We are only gone 5-7 days and do the trip twice a year. We make sure they have lots of TLC when we return. I wish we could find someone nearby with more glider experience to watch them. The lady that watches them has been doing it for us for 3 years now and she does a good job making sure they are cared for but she is scared of my adult pair. She isn't scared of the babies though. But she prefers not to handle then when we aren't here...which i know is stressful on my babies because they are used to having time with us everynight. So, yes it is somewhat out of convience but not totally. I have researched many different diets for gliders since I've had the computer...and it's been great. I learned better ways of feeding them and bonding with them. i just want to thank everyone for their help :)
