: my two year old male glider rarely drinks water. i have a small bowl of water on the side of his cage and a water bottle. he does drink from his glideraide bowl, but not much. do gliders not need much water daily???

They may not need much, but as Bourbon pointed out, they will dehydrate within 24 hours. I read a sad story somewheres where the ball in the water bottle got stuck, and the glider almost died of dehydration before it was noticed. Since then, I have put an additional bowl of water in my cage...so if the bottle gets stuck, they always have a backup. Thats why I think 2 sources of water (ie bowl and bottle or 2 bottles) is best. Especially if feeding Brisky's!!
