: : my two year old male glider rarely drinks water. i have a small bowl of water on the side of his cage and a water bottle. he does drink from his glideraide bowl, but not much. do gliders not need much water daily???

: They may not need much, but as Bourbon pointed out, they will dehydrate within 24 hours. I read a sad story somewheres where the ball in the water bottle got stuck, and the glider almost died of dehydration before it was noticed. Since then, I have put an additional bowl of water in my cage...so if the bottle gets stuck, they always have a backup. Thats why I think 2 sources of water (ie bowl and bottle or 2 bottles) is best. Especially if feeding Brisky's!!

Actually the trick there is to use a small enough water bottle that you have to fill it every day. I currently change 6 water bottle everday and wash them in hot soapy water every third day. While 2 sources is a good idea it does not replace being aware of your animals needs.
