: Hi, I have 3 gliders, one of which was a hand fed baby & is now a super friendly 2yr old ( but a finicky eater).

Chances are as Kim had said , that the finicky eating came from the handfeeding, When someone gets a second glider in your case another pair, it is harder to spend as much quality time with them, especially since you already had one that was super sweet, I have to add to Kim's facts,
fact is, if you have one that is docile, tame, sweet. you will spend more time with it , than you would one that isn't. You are less afraid of getting bit, and more confidant, you will love it, pet it, and spend more time with it on your person. That is just plain common sense.
I have 5 gliders in my home at this point, I have had total strangers come in and play with them, and my gliders have had no problem, letting theses people know how welcome thwey are in my home, not only my home, but their cages as well. I truley believe as kim does, that the hand feeding of gliders, IS NOT, the way to get a sweet glider. The time you would spend hand-feeding a pair of gliders, can be spent, just holding them, loving them, and letting them learn to trust humans. For those that THINK, their glider is sweeter because it was hand fed, needs to do some more research. Through reading past posts here, as well as other places, you will see that not all hand fed gliders are sweet. Hand fed gliders are taught to trust humans because they are handled early. well handle joeys early that have come oop. but allow mom to wean them.. Nothing irrates me more than someone who thinks, that pulling the babies will imprint or replace real LOVE..
Also the reason it is super tame, could be the amount of time and love you put into it. People have a tendancy to put more time into their first.

:The other 2 were not hand fed & arent the least bit tame (but they eat everything I give them ).

spend the time to teach your other two to love and trust you.. Nothing replaces, love time, and understanding..
