Subject: beyond basic bonding Posted by Cecilia on February 09, 19100 at 13:35:51 from 216.85.227.150
Hello, I'm new to this message board bunch, but have been reading other people's posts for a while now. My question is about bonding---I'm far beyond the help-my-glider-hates-me stage, but i feel like there's a little while to go. My glider's been with me for about six weeks, and he's gotten to where he sleeps in my pocket during the daytime, and will sit on my hand to eat at night. However, at night-time he doesn't want to come out of his cage and play, and if he does venture out, he goes straight for the fridge and climbs behind it. I keep reading about people whose gliders will ride on their shoulder or go play and then glide back to them.......mine would stay behind the fridge all night happily. How do you get to this next stage? Pardon me if this has been discussed already, but everything I see is about early bonding.
