Maybe you could try what I do. Use Gerber baby food (mine love chicken and veggies). If he bites hard put it on the lid and lure him out. Again, from experience no sugarglider responds to punishment, just patients and bonding. Sounds like you've got an older glider (three or more months) that hasn't had much attention before you. It's great you care.
