yes it is cheaper as it is only sugar and water rather than a vitamin mix. Please do not fool yourself in thinking they are the same. If you do not want to spend teh money on glideraide fine that is your choice BUT hummingbird nectar does not fill the same food niche no matter how many times you ask the question
