When I got my two I totally intended on having babies. I then found out that it was illegal to breed here even with a permit. I still went with one of each sex so that I could get an idea of what the different sexes are like. I had several people tell me that if I was just very careful that nobody needed to know that I had babies. I seriously considered it until I started thinking about how there wouldn't be anyone good enough to have one of MY babies. :)There was also the question of what kind of mother Belle would be because she was rejected herself. I have never in my whole life had an animal have babies. All of my cats and dogs have been fixed. Those were just some of the reasons why I chose not to breed.
Now for the other side of the coin... what if Maria and the other breeder I got mine from thought the same way? I might never have known the good, the bad, and the ugly of loving my babies.
Either way, I think this will be a very interesting topic to discuss. I'm very eager to read others opinions.
